Clients are responsible for ensuring that all gates are unlocked and pets are secured on scheduled service days. If we are unable to access the property due to locked gates, loose pets, or other access restrictions, the visit will be considered a skipped service , and a $25 skip fee will be applied. Please note that for the safety of our team and your pets, we do not enter gated areas with loose animals present . We are not responsible for returning later the same day due to access restrictions.

Q: Annual Plans & Seasonal Services

Clients enrolled in an annual service plan receive bundled services based on their selected package. Services are performed according to seasonal timing, plan details, and prevailing conditions. Services outside the defined scope of the plan—including excessive debris removal, storm cleanup, or restoration-level work—may incur additional charges and will be quoted separately. Annual plans are billed in equal monthly payments for customer convenience and are designed to distribute service costs across the year. In the event of cancellation prior to completion of the plan term, all services rendered will be reconciled at standard a la carte pricing , and any remaining balance will be due at the time of cancellation. Annual plans are structured as a full-season commitment and are not intended for partial-season use.

By scheduling services with Spencer’s Lawn Care, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms of Service.

All lawn care services are provided on a recurring schedule unless otherwise specified. Our scheduling model is designed for efficiency and consistency, allowing us to deliver reliable service throughout the season.

We do not require long-term contracts, giving you the flexibility to cancel service at any time. However, services will continue automatically unless we are notified otherwise.

While our system may send appointment-related notifications, manual confirmations are not required. Your property is serviced as part of a pre-established route schedule, not on an appointment-by-appointment basis. Our route-based scheduling ensures efficient service for all clients and does not allow for on-demand or one-time appointment expectations within recurring service areas.

Service Frequency Expectations

Accepted Answer

Consistent service frequency is required to maintain lawn quality. Clients requesting irregular or infrequent service may experience reduced results and may be subject to adjusted pricing or limited availability.

Payment Policy

Accepted Answer

To maintain continuity in our service schedule, all clients are required to keep a valid payment method on file.

All services are automatically processed upon completion using the payment method on file. We accept debit, credit, and ACH payments only.

Failure to maintain a valid payment method may result in immediate suspension or removal from the service schedule.

Clients may update their preferred payment method at any time through the Client Hub prior to their scheduled service.

Question 5

Skipping Service & Schedule Changes

If a scheduled service is skipped at the client’s request, a $25 skip fee will be applied. This fee accounts for reserved route time and helps maintain overall scheduling efficiency.

Please note that skipping service may result in increased lawn growth and extended service times on the following visit.

If a skipped visit leads to overgrowth, any additional time required to return the property to maintenance condition will be billed at $1.25 per minute beyond the standard service time.

Biweekly services already account for extended growth. Additional skipping beyond the normal schedule may result in further time-based charges.

Question 6

Weather Delays & Rescheduling

Accepted Answer

Due to weather conditions, service days may need to be adjusted to ensure quality and safety.

In the event of rain or unfavorable conditions, scheduled service days will shift forward to the next available day. This means your service may occur later in the week than originally scheduled.

We do work in light to moderate conditions when possible. However, heavy rain or saturated ground conditions will result in delays to prevent property damage and ensure quality results.

Please note:

Weather delays do not result in skipped service
All services will resume as soon as conditions allow
Route adjustments may carry into the following week during extended weather events

We appreciate your understanding as we work to maintain consistent, high-quality service across all properties.

Due to our route-based scheduling, we are unable to offer exact reschedule days during weather delays. Our focus is on maintaining efficiency and service consistency across all clients.

Obstructions / Pet Waste Policy

Areas with pet waste, toys, debris, or other obstructions may be skipped to ensure safety and equipment cleanliness. Full service charges may still apply.

For the safety of our team and to maintain equipment standards, we do not service areas that are not properly cleared prior to arrival.

Repeated access or cleanliness issues—including pet waste—may result in suspension or removal from the service schedule.

Lawn Condition / Initial Service Clause

Accepted Answer

Lawns that are significantly overgrown, neglected, or have not been maintained regularly may require additional time, equipment strain, and multiple passes. Additional charges may apply for initial or restoration cuts.

Liability

Spencer’s Lawn Care is not responsible for damage to underground utilities, irrigation systems, invisible dog fences, or other hidden or unmarked obstacles.

Clients are responsible for clearly marking or identifying any hazards, sensitive areas, or property features that may be at risk during service.

While we take every precaution to perform services with care and professionalism, we are not responsible for damage to:

Pre-existing conditions
Loose or improperly installed materials (edging, pavers, fixtures, etc.)
Items left in the service area (hoses, toys, decorations, etc.)

Any property damage concerns must be reported within 24 hours of service. Claims submitted after this period may not be eligible for review.

Sprinkler heads and termite bait traps must be properly installed and sit flush with the ground. We are not responsible for damage to exposed or improperly installed components.
